Notice Board
South Shore Social Sailing Series (SS/SSS) takes place every Wednesday night, featuring a race around the buoys followed by an event with complimentary beer and an optional "Sailor's Dinner" from the bar. It includes both casual cruisers and competitive racers. The race committee adjusts individual handicaps after each race to balance the competition. There are multiple spinnaker divisions as well as a jib-and-main option. Typically, there are 45 to 60 boats on the starting line. Participation does not require a PHRF certificate.
We have a new starting sequence this year. The idea here is to give the committee boat more time to shorten course if necessary. Please consult paragraph 5.2 of the Sailing Instructions and be aware of this change!
Official results and other documents are posted below. We hope to have our rating adjustment system fully integrated with Clubspot in the future.
So please be advised! This season, clubspot is being used for registration data collection and to test the racing result presentation tool. So results on the clubspot results pages are not official. The official results are in the documents section below in pdf format. If you spot any result presentation errors on the clubspot results pages, you can help us out by contacting racecommittee@ssyc.org.
